CAROMA CISTERN REPLACEMENT PARTS
If you need help determining which parts you need, the first thing you should do is contact a professional. Get a plumber to evaluate the issue and recommend a fix.
If you think you can manage it on your own, there are some good YouTube tutorials that will help you diagnose different issues with your loo.
Unfortunately, some plumbing stores and trades will simply say your toilet part or model is no longer available. In some cases, this is because the plumbing store just wants to sell you a new toilet because they don’t stock parts, can’t be bothered or aware many toilet parts are still available.
Before someone tells you a part is no longer available, browse through our Spare’s Toilets category with over 300 replacement parts to choose from. If a part is genuinely no longer available, we will reliably advise you and provide an option where possible.
Here are some of the parts that can help with different problems.
Cistern inlet valve - replacing this part can help with a range of issues including slow filling toilets, cisterns with running water, and noisy toilets.
Cistern outlet washers - can be used to repair leaking flush valves.
Cistern outlet valve - replacing this part could fix a toilet that won’t fully flush, or a toilet that has water leaking into the pan (not via the valve). If you have an issue with water leaking out of the outlet valve, there is a good chance you need to replace it.
Cistern buttons - may need to be replaced if your toilet has stopped flushing properly. They might just be worn out or a bit stiff. This is a simple and affordable fix.
To find out if a part is compatible with your toilet, all you have to do is take a look at the product specifications. Each product generally has information about compatible brands. If that info is difficult to find, you can always compare the part with one that is the same as your toilet.
