What is High Efficiency Gas Condensing Technology?
In standard continuous flow systems, heat and water vapour escape as exhaust at temperatures up to 200°C. Rinnai’s condensing units use a dual heat exchanger system to maximize energy use. The first exchanger transfers heat from the gas combustion process to the water, while the second exchanger reclaims heat from the flue exhaust gases and uses it to preheat the incoming cold water. As exhaust vapour cools below its condensation point, it forms liquid condensate, releasing additional heat that is also transferred to the water. This system lowers flue temperatures to around 35°C and ensures minimal energy is wasted.
Dual Heat Exchanger: Efficient Hot Water
The Infinity Enviro’s dual heat exchanger heats water faster and uses less gas by recycling heat that would normally be lost. With 97% thermal efficiency versus 82% for a single exchanger, it delivers reliable hot water while reducing running costs. Its stainless steel design, engineered for performance and longevity.

Pre-set 50°C Appliances – This is where the unit is factory set to 50°C and the entire house is supplied at this temperature. This is adequate in most domestic situations, but any temperature losses in the pipe work due to poor or old insulation can result in lower temperatures being delivered at the outlet.
