Unlike solar systems, hot water heat pumps in Australia don't rely on a steady supply of sunlight in order to operate – instead, they work at all times of the day or night and in all weather conditions.

Smart element is situated in the top of the hot water cylinder. This smart element will switch on along with the heat pump function when a high volume of hot water is drawn off from the hot water tank. This smart element will assist the heat pump to heat approximately the top 80 litres. This smart element function is designed to aid hot water recovery for high use of hot water.
